Mage time walking gear12/23/2023 I didn't gather a lot of information from other guides actually, mostly figured it out myself. To be fair, I did give a disclaimer it may not all be 100% accurate. Now I probably wasn't looking in all the right places, as I was unaware there were entire discords trying to figure it all out, and I'm sure dozens of eyes will see more than 2. I did see some other sources sharing information on timewalking sets, but a lot of what I saw was quite lackluster. No worries, thanks for giving fair feedback. Not trying to hate or anything but let me know how you feel :D Overall dont get me wrong this great overview for budget/easy to get sets that will give decent amount of power in MT :) But since most probably wont go for "True BiS sets", full CT, everything min/maxed this info missing is not end of the world. Same thing for Chromie Timed items, I see that you linked my Wowhead TW Guide which is great. Same thing here you could have and I guess you also did check other sources for info because in the end you noticed that TBC HC agi gem has been nerfed for long time, I clarified best MT gems imo pretty well in my post. But in this case since we dont yet have the MT sheets published on Discord other guides are fine. I am not saying more is bad but it can be confusing in some cases. In this situation you could have searched "Mage Tower" or " Timewalking" in WoW reddit and seen that some already exist and I also clarified before that TW is going to work on MT builds. But still I want to ask few things or should I say mention few things so I hope it doesnt sound rude.Ĭreating guides is great but when creating them you want to think if others have already created them and if they explain the same things or more. Hello, just want to come here and say that we appreciate people making MT guides while we still working on new TW sheets on Timewalking Discord. I hope this guide was helpful to you and if you have feedback please let me know!Įdit: Apparently you can pull off some Chromie time shenanigans to get some even better items, need a friend to pull it off though. Note: Apparently, the Agility version of this gem was already nerfed a while ago. If you REALLY want to maximize your character's performance, you can consider farming those (Shifting/Sovereign/Timeless Tanzanite). There are some epic gems you can get from TBC Heroics that have better stats than the +4 Mainstat gems that are named in the Spreadsheet. Alternatively you can use +3 Mainstat gems from TBC or + 7 secondary gems (there are 2 versions of the +7 secondary gems: the Argus gems require ilvl 44, the Nazjatar gems require ilvl 50) ![]() You can buy the raw gems in Dragon Soul in Wyrmrest Temple with the Dragon Soul currency. Try to stick to ilvl 48/50.Most of them will be in the level 35 to 49 range. GEAR SLOT + CONSUMABLES OVERVIEW (order of named items is always Agility / Strength / Intellect): įor auction house greens I'd try to avoid using greens with ilvl 45 or lower, especially if they don't have a socket. You'll receive gear with high enough item level to get the maximum stats (or near), while simultaneously not being so high that you can't put low level enchants on them. Running Mythic Siege of Orgrimmar (itemlevel 45/47)Īll of these options have one thing in common. Greens from the auction house (itemlevel 48/50 // more likely to be a realistic option on high pop realms) Nethershard Vendor in the Broken Shore (itemlevel 50 // you may have Nethershards left over from Legion) Your main sources of gear, besides gear you may have in your inventory/bank/void storage, should be the following: In addition, your goal is to have as many sockets on your gear as possible. This allows you to use low level enchants in certain slots if your gear is low enough itemlevel. ![]() Your character is scaled to level 45 and itemlevel 50. The basic idea revolves around getting as many stats as possible on your character within the rules the game sets. While some aspects are debatable and I would like to give a disclaimer that not all information might be 100% accurate, I'm quite confident I've figured out a lot and would like to share this information so you don't need to go through the same process as me. Over the last few weeks I've been trying to figure out how to min/max the process of gearing up for the Mage Tower challenges in order to make them as easy as possible.
